A word from the boss
“At 16, I Ieft school, saw an advert in the paper for a clerical assistant in a local firm of accountants – and never looked back. I was the youngest qualified accountant of my generation back in 1991– honestly! Up to that point I only had a foundation course in accountancy, a B-Tech and three O’ levels. The reason I tell you this is because I have learned over time that effort, energy, and attitude make for a great accountant – not just a set of exam results.
As a family-run firm, we make sure that our team is happy and relaxed, they work hard, but they enjoy coming in every day. We have developed a clear business culture, which is so important to us, that runs right through the business from top to bottom.
If you would like to be part of the Elsby family, we’d love to hear from you because we’re all about giving the right people the best opportunity to have a rewarding and exciting career.”
Carl Elsby, founding partner, Elsby and Co.
We asked Carl: what pleases you most in your role?
“Something that I hear frequently – when someone joins us from another prestigious firm and after a couple of years, they say that they cannot believe how much they’ve learnt with us.”
