What is it like to work for Elsby & Co?

Freedom to Succeed

Are you ready for the next step in your career?

We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

We are offering a UNIQUE opportunity to work for a modern, friendly, pro-active firm of accountants who have a real passion for the professional development of its team.

Are you feeling frustrated and finding opportunities aren’t presenting themselves in your current company? Is your current employer positively looking for new Partners, or providing opportunities for your future?

Are you being developed? Are your employers investing in you? Do they believe in you?!

Within the next 2 - 4 years we would like to add three new Partners. Ideally, our Partners will be developed from within and we’re already on a cycle of developing our current team with that in mind. We want to bring in more people with the capability of achieving that goal, and therefore we have an opportunity for someone to work closely with the existing Partners, to take them from where they are now to be our Partner of the future!

Aside from the real opportunities we can give you, we are offering a fantastic remuneration package to tempt the very best talent to join our amazing team. We also value your work life balance and do not restrict the progression for part time workers; in fact two of our current partners have progressed to partner level whilst working part time and taking maternity leave. We are set up to work from home not only since the pandemic, but for several years, enabling us to offer flexible working.

We’ve been successful because of our commitment to high quality client service, and to actually helping our clients, which is an attitude which brings high levels of job satisfaction and the feeling of ‘making a contribution’. Because of our success, there is always room for progression and development, as the business is constantly evolving. We’re open to fresh thoughts and ideas, and love enthusiastic people who want to do their best for clients and fellow team members. All of this has generated a collaborative, vibrant work environment where office politics is strictly prohibited.

If you think you would thrive in this environment, we would love to hear from you!

Position

We’re always open to any new team members who share our ethos, at any level. We’re currently looking in particular for someone at Senior / Manager level to fill this very important vacancy.

  • Supporting the Partners with looking after the ongoing needs of a portfolio of clients.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Dealing with accounting, tax and general financial / business requirements for SME’s.
  • Taking responsibility for training junior accounts staff, including appraisal of their work.
  • Taking responsibility for other aspects of business development for Elsby & Co.

Requirements

We wouldn’t expect you to have all the skills, but we want someone who will fit in with our culture, so someone easy to get along with, and who really wants to help their clients and team members. Obviously, to reach Partner level, you need to have something special, and that will mean that you’re probably doing well in your current role.

The role itself would be flexible depending on your level and experience. It would involve looking after a portfolio of clients providing a wide range of services, enabling you to gain knowledge in all areas, managing a small but growing team, and involvement in some Practice Development responsibilities.

We can guarantee that you will learn a lot with us. This is something that every member of staff always tells us. This is because of our approach – which we can tell you more about later. If you want to be part of our journey, and if you want to challenge yourself to be the best version of yourself, we’d love to hear from you! And if you think you like our approach, but aren’t at the level we’re looking for here, we’d still love to hear from you.
