We are looking for an experienced and confident Payroll Manager, who can look after the day to day payroll needs of a portfolio of clients in addition to managing and taking responsibility for the payroll function.
You will be responsible for the overall Payroll Department including liaison with clients, ownership and implementation of changes in payroll processes, ensuring systems are upgraded as required by our IT Support team, and researching, advising and staying abreast on technical matters.
In addition you and the team will be responsible for the day to day processing of roughly 280 client payrolls, mainly monthly but also a weekly & fortnightly including SSP, SMP, holiday calculations including all client liaison, management of year end processes, submission of returns to HMRC. You will also need to be familiar with CIS reporting and RTI.
Auto-Enrolment experience is essential.
This role is helped and supported in the day to day processing by a Payroll Assistant so previous staff management experience is desirable.
