Essentially, if you are worried about being able to meet your tax, national insurance, VAT or other payments owed to HMRC or if you expect that payments coming due will cause you problems, you can call the Business Payment Support Line on 0845 302 1435. Open Monday to Friday 8 am to 8pm; Weekends 8am to 4pm.
We have telephoned on behalf of a number of clients and have been successful in arranging to spread payments over the next 12 months.
However:
- If the payment is already overdue, you will not be able to spread your payments under this scheme;
- You can not use this facility to re-arrange an existing payment arrangement.
therefore, TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS CONCESSION YOU MUST CONTACT THE BUSINESS SUPPORT SERVICE IN ADVANCE OF THE DUE DATE.
