- NSPCC, we drove our wee mini all the way to Venice, Italy and back (!) as part of "The Italian Job". We raised over £1,500 for the charity; - RNLI, Clare subjected herself to the Midnight Sun half Marathon in the Arctic Circle, running the distance in 2 hours 10 minutes. The RNLI is a charity dear to Clare as she was rescued together with the rest of her family (including the dog) from their sailing boat during a force 11 gale in the Irish Sea, Jubilee weekend 1977; - Crazy Hats Breast Cancer Charity, a local charity based in Wellingborough, we provide our payroll service free of charge and are on hand to help with day to day queries; - Brixworth Pre-School, we have been sponsors of their fun day; - Young Enterprise, Clare Elsby volunteers time on a weekly basis to be a business advisor to pupils at Wellingborough School. Her year 12 group "adeo" reached the East Midlands Area finals, winning prizes for best marketing company and most innovative product; - Great Doddington Football Club, we sponsored football kit for U9's. - Extra Mile Challenge, Carl completed the cycling challenge along with client Mark Conway of CMK Therapy. Carl, Mark and a bunch of speedy cyclists pedalled their way through the Loire Valley in aid of various charities including MK Snap; The Prostrate Cancer Charity and RNLI. - Northants Junior Squash, We are sponsoring the Northants Junior Squash team. The team is being coached by Sam Willis, ex England player and of TV's Wife Swap fame. Carl has always been a keen squash player and now both sons Angus and Luc play for the County. Carl is currently doing his coaching badges and has started a junior coaching programme at Club Diana in Wellingborough. If you have a youngster who is interested in taking up the sport or would like to develop their game, give Carl a call. - Sport Relief March 2010 After weeks of hard training, we took the Sport Relief Challenge at Stanwick Lakes. Everyone completed their target distance and a huge thanks goes out to all who sponsored the Elsby Team, known as "Wii Unfit!" Carl was just relieved to beat the 3 legged dog to the finish line! - Elsby & Co Sponsored Slim-a-Thon We have lost lbs's to raise £'s for Parkinsons & Alzheimers over a 6 week period from 6th January 2011. We raised a grand total of £489.00, split equally between the two charities. & the latest adventure....- Loch Ness Marathon 2nd October 2011 Clare has put herself in for this year's Loch Ness Marathon, raising money for Lakelands Day Care Hospice in Corby. This is Clare's first and judging by how the training is going.. only marathon! We wish her the best of luck .. |
